1970. ONE YEAR after Stonewall. People are marching through the streets of New York City openly, defiantly, joyfully — and someone had the presence of mind to film it. This 11-minute documentary is a historical artifact of incalculable value. These faces, these voices, this PRIDE before the world had fully decided whether to tolerate them. The courage of every single person in this film is staggering. They didn't know if they'd lose their jobs, their families, their safety. They marched anyway. We owe them everything.
