These women made music as political praxis, as community building, as an act of survival. G.B. Jones and her partners in art created entire worlds out of nothing, for people who had nothing. This is the documentary that should be shown in every music history class, every women's studies course, every queer theory seminar. They were too ahead of their time for the world to notice.
