Kids being raised by same-sex couples are growing in numbers worldwide. We are in a Gayby-Boom. But who are these kids? What do they think about having same-sex parents? And do they face different issues to other kids? At a time when the world is debating marriage equality, these questions are more pertinent than ever. Told from the perspective of the kids, Gayby Baby is intimate and sometimes humorous account of four children and their families.

Children raised by same-sex couples telling their own stories in their own words — and the result is just... kids being kids. Doing homework, fighting with their parents, going to church, worrying about their friends. The profound normalcy is the radical act. This documentary came out during Australia's marriage equality debate and was briefly banned from being shown in schools by one school district (it was reinstated immediately). The moral panic over children seeing happy queer families tells you everything about what homophobes are actually afraid of: that love is love and children know it instinctively.
