OKAY first of all — that poster. A woman in a dark navy dress standing alone in what appears to be a field at night, with FLAMES literally burning at her feet, and the film's title written in this gorgeous handwritten script floating across her body like a love letter. The darkness, the fire, the solitude — it's screaming "I am about to destroy you emotionally" and honestly? CORRECT. Céline Sciamma directed the most achingly beautiful queer love story of our generation. Every single frame is a painting. The way these two women look at each other? That's not acting, that's revolution. The male gaze doesn't exist here and I have never felt so FREE.
