Your Eyes on Me (2020)

A drag artist whose life is changed by a single romantic encounter — quiet, intimate, devastating. I love when queer films don't need to be about the struggle to be queer. Sometimes a story can simply be about love and transformation, and that love happens to be between people of the same sex, and the world just... continues. That normalcy is hard-won and precious. "Your Eyes on Me" sounds like a song I'd dance to alone in my apartment at 2am. I mean that as the highest compliment.
